Columbus, IN

Inspired by one of my favorite movies (Columbus) I took a mini road trip here last summer. There’s so much amazing modern architecture, design and sculpture packed into this small town. My favorite was the Main Library, Mill Race Park and the midcentury modern school we would take my toddler to play on the swings. Small enough you can walk most of the area or hop on a bike. The quiet slowness of summer and the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere Midwest was heavenly, such an offline balm.

Just be sure to book tickets for the Miller house ahead of time. The online site is old and the hours are limited. Otherwise, this place is best spent wandering.
