The Leftovers

I just finished a rewatch of The Leftovers just over 10 years later— this show has been on my mind a lot the last few years and I decided it was time to revisit this one. The world attempts to make sense of an inexplicable event, 2% of the population disappears into thin air. The parallels to the last strange strange decade are uncanny.  Grief, cults, spiritual psychosis, magical thinking -> covid, Qanon, christian nationalism, TikTok tarot readers, AI delusions.. Melancholy, surreal, incredible acting performances (Carrie Coon!!!) and one of the best endings in tv that does not spoon feed you answers.
